CGTMSE Loan Consultants in Ahmedabad

CGTMSE is a credit guarantee scheme for micro and small enterprises. The trust guarantees a portion of the lender's exposure, which is what allows a bank to extend credit without third-party collateral or an outside guarantee. Makhija & Company assesses whether your unit qualifies and builds the file the lending institution appraises.

What it is, in plain terms

The usual reason a viable small business is refused credit is not the business — it is the absence of security. CGTMSE removes that obstacle by standing behind part of the lender's risk, so the decision comes back to whether the unit can service the debt.

Because the guarantee shifts the question to viability, the financial case has to be made properly: audited or filed figures, projections that follow from them, and a clear account of what the money is for and how it repays itself.

Who this is for

If one of these sounds like you, this is the right page.

  • Micro and small manufacturers needing working capital or a term loan
  • Service enterprises that qualify under the scheme's coverage
  • Businesses with strong cash flow but no property to offer as security
  • Units expanding capacity where the promoters do not want to mortgage personal assets
  • Applicants previously refused a conventional secured loan for want of collateral
  • Existing borrowers looking to restructure into a guaranteed facility

Documents you will need

This is the general set. After the first call you get one checklist built for your exact case, rather than a generic list you have to interpret.

  • 01 Constitution documents — partnership deed, incorporation certificate or LLP agreement
  • 02 Udyam registration certificate
  • 03 PAN, Aadhaar and KYC for all promoters
  • 04 Filed income tax returns, usually for the preceding years
  • 05 GST returns and audited or certified financial statements
  • 06 Bank statements for all operating accounts
  • 07 Projections and CMA report for the facility applied for
  • 08 Quotations for machinery, where a term loan is sought

Why this comes up so often around here

In a trading belt like Sarangpur, plenty of businesses run out of rented premises and own no property at all. They are profitable and they still get refused, because a conventional term loan wants security they do not have. CGTMSE exists for exactly that situation, and it is one of the more common conversations we have across the desk.

Questions

CGTMSE Loan — frequently asked

  • QWhat does CGTMSE actually do?

CGTMSE is a guarantee, not a loan. The Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises covers a portion of the lender's exposure if the borrower defaults. Because the lender's risk is reduced, it can extend credit to a micro or small enterprise without demanding third-party collateral or an outside guarantee.

  • QWhat is the difference between Mudra and CGTMSE?

They solve different problems. Mudra is a lending scheme for small non-farm enterprises, structured in tiers by size. CGTMSE is a guarantee mechanism that sits behind a lender's facility so collateral is not required. Depending on your size and requirement you may qualify for one, the other, or both — that is the first thing we work out.

  • QDo I still pay anything for the guarantee?

Yes, a guarantee fee is payable and it varies with the facility. It is normally a far smaller cost than the alternative, which is either mortgaging property or not getting the credit at all.

  • QDoes CGTMSE cover mean I am certain to be approved?

No. The guarantee removes the collateral obstacle; it does not remove the credit assessment. The lender still evaluates whether the business can service the debt, which is what the CMA report and projections are for.

  • QMy business is profitable but I have no property. Is this the right route?

A profitable business with no property to pledge is precisely what the CGTMSE guarantee was created for. Bring your filed returns and bank statements and we will tell you at the free consultation whether the numbers support an application.
