Classification check
We work out whether you fall into micro, small or medium on the current criteria before filing.
Udyam registration is the government's MSME registration, done online against your Aadhaar and PAN, producing a certificate with a permanent Udyam number. It is the prerequisite for most MSME schemes, for priority-sector lending, and for the delayed-payment protections available to registered enterprises. Makhija & Company handles the registration and the classification behind it.
| What it is | The official MSME registration, replacing the old Udyog Aadhaar |
|---|---|
| Classification | Micro, small or medium, based on investment in plant and machinery and on turnover |
| Portal | Government Udyam Registration portal — self-declaration based |
| Linked to | Aadhaar, PAN and GST data |
| Government fee | There is no government fee for Udyam registration |
| Why it matters | Required for most MSME schemes, priority-sector lending and delayed-payment protection |
Udyam is the door to almost everything else in the MSME system. CGTMSE cover, priority-sector treatment at a bank, government tender preferences and the statutory protection against delayed payment by buyers all assume you are registered.
The registration itself is free and self-declared, which leads people to treat it casually. The part worth getting right is the classification and the activity codes — these determine which category you fall into and which benefits actually apply.
If one of these sounds like you, this is the right page.
This is the general set. After the first call you get one checklist built for your exact case, rather than a generic list you have to interpret.
That is what the free consultation is for. Tell us the situation and we will tell you the shortest route through it — including when the answer is that you do not need this service at all.

We register Udyam for businesses across the Sarangpur and Kalupur area, usually alongside GST or a loan file. The registration itself carries no government fee — be wary of anyone charging you a large 'government fee' for it. What is worth paying for is getting the classification and activity codes right, since those decide which benefits you can actually claim.

The application is filed on the Udyam portal against your Aadhaar and PAN.
You get the certificate, and we tell you which schemes and lending routes it now opens.
QIs there a fee for Udyam registration?
There is no government fee — the registration is free on the official portal. Be cautious of sites that charge a large "government fee" for it. Our own charge, if you want us to handle the classification and filing, is quoted upfront and separately.
QWhat is the difference between Udyam and Udyog Aadhaar?
Udyam replaced Udyog Aadhaar. It is linked to PAN and GST data rather than being purely self-declared, and produces a permanent Udyam registration number. Holders of the older registration were required to migrate.
QDo traders qualify for Udyam registration?
Retail and wholesale trade were brought within the scope of Udyam registration for the purpose of priority-sector lending benefits. Whether a specific benefit applies to a trading business depends on the scheme, so we check that rather than assume.
QDo I need Udyam registration to get a Mudra or CGTMSE loan?
Udyam registration is normally expected for a Mudra or CGTMSE loan, and in practice lenders ask for it. Since it is free and quick, there is no good reason to approach a lender without it.
Most clients need two or three of these together. Hover the deck to fan it out.Tap any card to see the details.
